Fernando Abrego: «It is urgent to review the curriculum of both the first and second level of education»

Fernando Ábrego of the Panama Teachers Association gave details of the meeting with the Minister of Education Lucy Molinar where they discussed issues such as the reactivation of networks by specialty and continuous congresses. He said that a roadmap is needed.

For Professor Ábrego, short-term solutions must be found for educational centers that are paralyzed in terms of construction and Meduca must be removed from the Panama Compra portal so that it can purchase through other mechanisms.

“There is an urgent need to review the academic curriculum since there is no programmatic sequence of the contents. “Education must be seen as a national issue and not as a government issue,” said Ábrego.
