President Alberto Fernández affirmed that “it is a day for collective reflection” and recalled that when Cristina Kirchner “proposed that he be a candidate, he never thought about the events that would occur later, such as the pandemic and the war in Ukraine
“We have gone through the worst storms and we have been able to overcome them”said the president when leading the official act for the three years of government management, together with citizens reached by different public policies, in the Parque Colón.
The President stressed that his administration has “done a lot” for the country and stated that “it is time for us to value those achievements and not be confused.”
“A week ago we saw how the media system can cover up a story but in reality Three years ago we have been seeing how the news that makes the development of the country is covered“, said.
Fernandez stated that “Leadership is not exercised by shouting or hitting the table”but “convincing everyone”.
“Many say that I am a timorous President, who does not exercise leadership. But I believe that leadership is not exercised by shouting or hitting the table, but rather by convincing everyone,” he said.
The President renewed his questions to part of the Judiciary and asked that these sectors “do not walk in Lago Escondido but that justice be done”in reference to the trip that a group of judges, Buenos Aires officials and media representatives made to that place in Patagonia.
“For us, the Republic is value. The Judiciary has to work well, so that it does not walk in Lago Escondido but rather does justice,” said Fernández.
The President affirmed that “there is a outbreak of Covid” in the country but clarified that “he does not occupy intensive care beds or require artificial respirators” since the immunity that was achieved among the Argentine population “is very great” thanks to the vaccines.
“We are the country that has achieved the most immunity among its citizens and that allows us to continue acting,” said the president.
Fernández affirmed that his management “He will never put aside the assistance of the State to those who need it” and clarified that what is sought is that this help “does not go to those who do not need it.”
“Beyond what the newspapers write, we are never going to neglect assistance to those who need it, but we are going to do it well. We do not want that assistance to go to those who do not need it,” he said.
Fernandez stated that will be put “in front” of the political discussion so that “the president or the president” who takes office in December 2023, after the electoral process next year, is from the Front of All and not part of those who “delivered the country and brought it to its knees” in reference to the government of Mauricio Macri, of Together for Change.
“I guarantee everyone that I am going to put myself in charge of all of us without exclusion so that, in December 2023, the president who takes office is one of us. I am not going to allow, once again, those who have delivered the country and have brought it to its knees, return to take charge of an Argentina that serves few,” said the president.
Among the citizens who participated in the act were a nurse, soldiers who report in Antarctica and in the fire management system, a park ranger, a member of Pami, a train guard, CONICET researchers, a motorcycle and car manufacturer, a laboratory representative, a technical school teacher, scholarship holders from different Education programs and a tourist businesswoman benefited from the Previaje, among others.
