President Alberto Fernandez affirmed this Sunday that after “difficult times” in the relationship between Argentina and Brazil, during the management of Jair Bolsonaro“the arrival of Lula” da Silva “to the government is a great joy and tranquility” and asserted that “they are two countries that were born to be united”.

“I cannot hide the fact that Lula’s arrival in government is a great joy and tranquility for me as a man from Latin America, as an Argentine and who wants democracy and respects social rights”affirmed Fernández in an interview with Canal Livre of Brazil.

He added that with the new presidency of Luiz Inácio da Silva “Everything is going to be easier, because Lula is as convinced as I am of the need for the integration of the continent. Lula believes in Mercosur as I do.”

The Argentine President remarked the “importance” of the relationship of both countries: “We have economies that are closely linked in many areas and we know that, working together, we can be great suppliers of food to a world that demands it.”

Fernández reiterated that even in “the most complex moments” he often felt “mistreated” by former President Bolsonaro“but I have always remained silent to preserve the link between Argentina and Brazilbecause it doesn’t make sense for that bond to be destroyed by someone who mistreats another”.

And he announced that with the recomposition of the bilateral relationship “we can do many things by joining forces. If we integrate, both countries will grow.”

“Argentina and Brazil are two countries that were born to be united”, ended.
