The governor of Santa Fe, Omar Perotti said this Monday that the president Alberto Fernandez reiterated its decision to create a permanent Gendarmerie detachment in Rosario, with a commander in charge of all federal force operations in the territory, appointed by the Ministry of Security of the Nation, and with the dispatch of 300 gendarmes for that purpose. .

After the meeting, Perotti told the accredited journalists at Government House that this plan It is “key to be able to coordinate in the best way with the provincial forces and with the municipality in the territorial security table deployed from the beginning of the administration.”

The 300 new gendarmes They will be added to the 550 troops already sent by the Nation in the first instance, he explained.

For Perotti, there is a “need to coordinate the presence of more federal forces in the territoryto coordinate a more solid federal justice action in the province of Santa Fe and to have an accompaniment that also goes beyond the action of the presence of forces or security actions, in work areas that the national government has to contribute to the improvement of many of the sectors and neighborhoods where the most difficult crime zones are”.

“The President has marked, in his visits to Rosario, the commitment to face the situationdefining that Argentina cannot allow these acts of violence to happen in its territory, and that definition seems central to us”, considered the provincial president.

“As a province, we do not have the possibility by ourselves to face the magnitude of what is happening in our territory, yes or yes, that national presence is needed, that all Argentines understand that priority of presence in the city of Rosario, in the city from Santa Fe,” he remarked.

For his part, Javkin said that in the meeting with the President they talked about “the prison situation” and pointed out that “a large part of the events, more than 90 percent, have to do with an organization made up of people who are serving sentences, a situation that clearly deserves a response”, in addition to “accelerating the urbanization processes”, because “changing the fabric of cities makes citizen security”, and having “an authority with which to coordinate where and how those federal forces are deployed that there is in the territory and that does not look or be noticed as the proportion of the effort” made.
