A shipment of fentanyl hydrochloride, which would produce approximately one million 40 thousand doses of the drug and valued at $20 million, was seized by federal authorities at the Mexico City International Airport.
The drug arrived at the capital terminal as part of the cargo of a parcel company, indicated the security office, and reported that it was inside a plastic bag, hermetically sealed and weighing one kilo. The package had been declared as cosmetics, “coming from a company located in an Asian country.”
Likewise, in Tijuana, Baja California, federal authorities seized an arsenal, consisting of 21 long weapons and 30 short weapons that were in an abandoned vehicle on the old highway to Tecate, in the García neighborhood.
