This Monday ended the action of the Investigator in the field of the House of Representatives.
In this framework, the nationalist deputy Alfonso Lereté assured that “alleged omissions and administrative irregularities and behaviors with a criminal appearance provided for in the Penal Code” have arisen from the actions.
He explained that there is “possible fraud, fraud, failure of officials to proceed to report crimes, abuse of functions, cover-up and forgery.”
He said that among those possibly involved are: Javier Landoni (former secondary school counselor), José Olivera (general secretary of FENAPES), Celsa Puente (former secondary school director), and Marcel Slamovitz (history teacher and vice president of FENAPES), among others.
The Investigative Commission on irregular licenses will give a view of all the persons on whom criminal responsibility may fall, so that they can make the corresponding discharges and then it will be passed to the Plenary of Deputies.
Indignation
For her part, the deputy of the Broad Front Lilian Galán stated that the legislators of the Broad Front feel “outraged” because the resolution on teachers’ union hours is “a scandal.”
“We have not seen in the history of parliamentary committees a treatment of this type to purely administrative issues,” he said.
This is a file that is in the orbit of Secondary, teachers who have missed classes, that is why it is legal for Secondary that must be resolved. “Now they are accused of crimes like never before, because this Commission does not have those prerogatives. The ANEP can summarily, dismiss and, even if the administrative is exceeded, it can file legal complaints,” said Galán.
He stressed that the Parliamentary Commission has a political purpose. “It’s a circus. A shame”.
Gustavo Olmos spoke in the same vein: “This Investigative Commission was born taking on powers that did not correspond to it.”
While the legislator Enzo Malán emphasized that “if there are professors who abuse their function, that the corresponding organisms carry out the administrative or summary investigations and resolve in this regard. This is a staged circus. It sounds like union persecution.”
