Feminist Councils for Citizen Security meeting in Caracas

Realizan Encuentro de consejos Feministas de la Seguridad Ciudadana en Caracas

At the headquarters of the National Experimental University of Security (UNES), located in the city of Caracas, the Meeting of the Sectoral Feminist Councils for Citizen Security was held, as part of the International Day of Women for Life and Disarmament. , with the participation of the Vice President of Citizen Security and Peace, G/J Remigio Ceballos and the Minister of Popular Power for Women and Gender Equality, Diva Guzmán.

In this sense, Ceballos expressed that, “the guarantee of the complete liberation of women is the guarantee of the Venezuelan people and in order to be a good socialist revolutionary it is necessary to be a feminist, that must be understood by all the compañeros and compañeras that we integrate the ranks of the citizen security organs”.

For her part, the Minister of Popular Power for Women and Gender Equality, Diva Guzmán, reported that a total of 2,018 Feminist Councils are in the process of being formed, in order to guarantee the human rights of women, through its integration into the country’s Citizen Security System.

The International Women’s Day for Peace and Disarmament is celebrated every year with the main objective of achieving the incorporation of women in world peace processes.
