A woman died in La Vega after being attacked with a knife by a man identified as her ex partnerin an event that occurred this Saturday morning in La Vega province.
The victim was identified as Edilenia Antonia Chaplaina resident of the Los Pomos sector, while the perpetrator, who would have used a knife to wound her in the neck, was identified as Carlos Manuel Peguerowho fled after the bloodshed.
Despite having been helped by people who were near the parking lot of the government office building (Huacalito), located on García Godoy Avenue in the city of La Vega, where the event occurred, the victim died while receiving medical attention in a clinic.
According to information, the deceased argued with her ex partner prior to the aggression received by him with a white weapon (knife).
It transpired that Edilenia was employed by the Ministry of Public Health.
It was not possible to obtain a response from the National Police spokesman in La Vega, so it is unknown if the aggressor has already been arrested for his submission to justice.
