Femicide in Chiriquí, a policeman involved

An unfortunate event occurred on the morning of this Friday, April 14 in David, Chiriquí when in the Altos de Las Moras sector when a woman died at the hands of her partner, the information was provided by the National Police and the Public Ministry that began with investigations.

“Homicide and Femicide Section of the Chiriquí Prosecutor’s Office is conducting an investigation for crimes against Life and Personal Integrity, for an event that occurred today in Altos Las Moras, David, where a woman died. A police officer will be brought before a Judge of Guarantees,” the Public Ministry said on its social networks.

While the National Police regret this fact that involves one of its units “we regret the death of a woman, who lost her life in a home located in the district of David, province of Chiriquí, an event in which a police unit. As the first security institution, we are respectful of the Law and judicial procedures, therefore, we will offer all the collaboration to the competent authorities who carry out the investigations to clarify the facts.
