This was ratified by the Chief of Police Investigations, from Caazapá, Commissioner César Diarte, who indicated that the Ledesma prevail due to their connections with the authorities.
“Silvestre Ledesma’s relatives are arrogant, and if we go wrong, it could go wrong for us,” Commissioner Diarte admitted in conversation with the radio station 1080 Am.
“The coup can come from another side… The nephew (of the femicide) is (Luis Alberto Ledesma) the mayor of Maciel,” the police authority replied, when asked if there was fear of the agents to arrest the alleged accomplice of the femicide.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office had ordered a search of the home of Mayor Ledesma, on suspicion that the alleged accomplice of the femicide would be hidden there.
When asked about this search, Commissioner Diarte said that as in any city in the interior, information is easily leaked, which gives the fugitive time to flee the place where the procedure will take place.
“For a raid, surveillance was done for days, we have people who help us for that, but when we do a raid, when we leave our place they automatically tell us that it has already left,” Diarte said, referring to the frustrated procedure.
