Arequipa, Peru – Rafael (Felito) Lahera is one of the most consecrated and popular Cuban actors among Cuban viewers. His work has led him to participate in productions inside and outside the island, where he has also won several awards.
In a recent interview for the YouTube channel Tolk destinationthe artist was sincere on facets and events of his life that few know, including the difficulties he experienced after his arrival in Miami, and others that forced him to get away from the performance.
“You don’t know the amount of houses I had to clean. I painted houses, I washed houses, I cleaned houses, I did all that. Here I had to bite it in whatever,” said the actor about his first challenges in the United States.
Felito Lahera left Cuba to reside about four years in Colombia, and subsequently moved to Miami. “If I had arrived in this country, knowing how to speak English, I would not have been in Miami. I would have gone to Los Angeles or New York to look for her there. According to Lahera, the opportunities within television in Florida do not abound.
