Morelia, Mich., The governor of Michoacán, Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, accused former president Felipe Calderón Hinojosa of orchestrating, together with the then Secretary of Public Security, Genaro García Luna, the so-called michoacanazoan operation implemented by the Federal Preventive Police and the Mexican Army on May 26, 2009, in which mayors, local officials and a judge from the entity were arrested.
At a press conference, the Morenista president stressed that this case is a good line of investigation for the US prosecutor’s office, because that attack on Michoacán
de García Luna and Felipe Calderón deserves that the former PAN federal president be in court, at least as a witness, since contacts between the federal government and criminals are coming to light
.
It considered that for this reason Calderón Hinojosa fled
to Spain. It’s been months since he changed his address, but we know it was an escape
.
Ramírez Bedolla maintained that the sister of today’s former head of the federal Executive, Luisa María Calderón, ticked
the apprehensions of more than 30 mayors, businessmen, and officials of the Michoacan administration, headed by the PRD member Leonel Godoy Rangel at the time. He asserted that Felipe Calderón was putting pressure on Godoy Rangel because he wanted to control the security of the state -of which he is a native-, put it in the hands of the Federation, and surely hand over the state to a cartel
. Godoy did not give up and the political attack came
said.
