Felipe Argote: «Panama contributes only 0.2% of GDP to pensions»

Economist Felipe Argote will launch his book “How to solve the Social Security crisis now” next Sunday at the Book Fair. “I have the magic wand,” he said, assuring that the answers are there.

In most countries, older adults receive higher contributions; for example, in Brazil, 9.6% of GDP is given to pensions, Uruguay 8.9%, Costa Rica 5.7%, Chile 3%, Peru 2.5%, and Panama contributes less than 0.2% of GDP to pensions.

Argote stressed that Dino Mon does not have the macroeconomic knowledge to resolve the IVM issue in the CSS.
