Feletti: The war and flour products "they will hit a lot" in March inflation

After the meat and bread agreements, Feletti promised to move forward with the decoupling of prices

Feletti assured that the economy is recovering, as well as employment. The point is to improve income.”

The Secretary of Internal Trade, Roberto Feletti, affirmed this Thursday that the war between Russia and Ukraine, plus the rise in flour products, will have a strong impact on the inflation index for March.

“The war and the prices of flour products will hit inflation in March a lot,” Feletti said this morning during an interview on Radio con Vos.

Ukraine and Russia account for about 29% of world wheat exportsand the warlike conflict between both nations caused a strong increase in this cerealwith the consequent increase in its derivatives as in the case of flour.

“The economy is recovering, as well as employment. The question is that incomes improve,” added the Secretary of Domestic Trade.

In this sense, he believed that “a Peronist government has to create expectations of expansion with employment and salaryAnd we’re still on time.”

After acknowledging that he felt “supported” by the Minister of Productive Development, Matías Kulfas, he made it clear, without mentioning them, that “There are other portfolios that think differently and that can happen in a coalition government.”

Regarding the evolution of the economy, Feletti pointed out that the hoarding of dollars in the Central Bank is an essential condition for further improvements.

“If reserves are not accumulated in the Central Bank, the economy will not be solved, even less with restrictions related to monetary and fiscal issues,” Feletti concluded.
