The Secretary of Domestic Trade, Roberto Feletti, announced this Thursday that January’s inflation will be similar to that of December, which registered 3.8%, and expressed his concern about the rise in fresh products.
“We are losing the battle of fresh products and in January inflation will be the same as in December,” Feletti told El Destape Radio.
In any case, he assured “in March we will see” the effect of the regulatory instruments that are being built.
“We have to maintain a basket policy. With food we are building the regulatory instruments and we believe that in March the results will be seen”, explained Feletti.
In this sense, he clarified that “monopolistic inflation is gondola inflation and international inflation is in fresh products”, and considered that “the decouplings have to be seen there”.
About the agreement with the IMF
Feletti was of the opinion that It is time to “unite in the face of this situation”although “it should be stated that the IMF exceeded its credit risk rating” at the time of disbursing the loan to the Macrista administration.
