Valverde explained how he was processing the changes in his career, from his beginnings in Peñarol to his present in Europe and highlighted two fundamental pillars that allowed him to do so: food and coaching. He talked about how the pressure, the nerves, or even a small mistake on the court did not allow him to take the game where he wanted and how coaching helped him work on these aspects.
Another of the secrets of her transformation was the change in diet, where she highlighted the work of her nutritionist: “He supported me to improve the way I eat, I began to eat much better, have a much calmer rest and I think that was also of great help.” In addition, she emphasized that this change is one of the factors that allows her to fight for a place with the best in the world and, in turn, helps her prevent injuries and always stay at an optimal level.
Another motivation to continue growing as a player was that of his teammates. “When you leave Uruguay you have other realities, lessons, differences that make you click to stay with the best and fight for a place with Luka Modric, Toni Kroos or Casemiro. That was what helped me, too, to change my mind, ”he said.

Regarding Latin America, he commented that, in the case of the Argentine National Team, although it has quality players and the statistics benefit it, “Today any national team gives you a fight and if a match is planned well and, with a little luck, I think you can go as far as possible in the World Cup, any team, not just us, anyone.”
Federico Valverde, of great soccer present, stated: “We are very excited and eager, I think we feed that illusion that sometimes we lack or lacked to be able to achieve the most dreamed of, the most beautiful thing that a player wants and the Uruguayan, which is to win the World Cup.
