Alfaro holds a BA in Law and Political Science from Columbus University and a JD from Loyola University (New Orleans).
This Wednesday, the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, appointed Federico Alfaro Boyd as head of the Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MICI), replacing Ramón Martínez, who was appointed as Panama’s ambassador in Washington, United States.
Prior to his arrival at the MICI, Alfaro Boyd held the presidency of the board of directors of the Tocumen International Airport SA (AITSA).
Alfaro holds a BA in Law and Political Science from Columbus University and a JD from Loyola University (New Orleans).
He held the position of Deputy Foreign Minister of Panama between 2019 and 2020, he has been a member of the legal team of Arias Fábrega & Fábrega (Arifa) since 2007. He became a partner of the firm in 2017 and is part of its Executive Committee.
