The Federal Police (PF) launched, on Wednesday (12), an operation to investigate and curb death threats against President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
According to investigations, an individual made social networking posts threatening to practice an attack on the president during his visit to Belém on Thursday (13), where Lula will fulfill a series of official commitments.
Because of this, the PF requested judicial measures against the suspect, who did not have his identity revealed, and fulfilled a search and seizure warrant, authorized by the Federal Court, which imposed precautionary measures, including the use of an electronic anklet and the prohibition of approximation of the approximation of investigated from places where the President of the Republic is present.
Investigations remain underway.
