Until now, more than three dozen demands that challenge important actions of the Trump administration, from gender to immigration and protections for federal employees, have been presented in court.
Many of the plaintiffs sought rapid relief and warned about imminent damage, which led to an extravagance of emergency hearings this week in courts throughout the country.
