Today the restoration of the legal situation of 133 international students was requested, according to an order that grants temporary restriction orders on behalf of the plaintiffs, presented before a United States District Court by ACLU and other groups in Atlanta, Georgia, on April 18.
President Donald Trump’s government has until Tuesday at 5 pm to implement it.
Federal Judge Victoria M. Calvert issued a temporary restriction order requested on behalf of the students, who alleged that their student status had been illegally revoked.
Thousands of international students throughout the United States claim to have lost their visas during the last week, which puts them at risk of possible deportation.

“The DHS action of illegally canceling Sevis records seems to be designed to force students, including each plaintiff, to abandon their studies and self -portion despite not violating their status,” says the demand.
Many of the plaintiffs had been accused of transit infractions, and in some cases, of minor crimes, but subsequently their charges were withdrawn.
Others have never been arrested or cited by any transit infraction.
Calvert ordered the administration to notify the court when he had fulfilled.
A audience was scheduled for Thursday.
