The pilgrims who are on pilgrimage to the National Sanctuary of Aparecida, in the interior of São Paulo, will be able to count on an exclusive application launched by the Federal Highway Police (PRF). The tool will serve the faithful using the Presidente Dutra Highway. Initially the application will serve pilgrims and then it will be used for various pilgrimage routes throughout Brazil.
The launch took place on the eve of the Novena and Feast of the Patroness, which takes place from October 3rd to 12th, taking into account the end of public restrictions on the celebrations, and the expectation that the number of pilgrims walking on the Presidente Dutra Highway towards to the Sanctuary increase by 60% compared to last year.
Available for Android and IOS, the program allows the user to access information, such as routes of interest, support points, restaurants and hotel chains. Through the application, the traveler will also be able to update information about the road conditions, occurrence of accidents, weather conditions, among others. At the end of the route, the user can generate a trip completion report, issued by the National Sanctuary and the PRF, through the application.
