In an operation carried out in Culiacán, Sinaloa, federal authorities seized 385 kilograms and 170 liters of methamphetamine during the execution of a search warrant in a property allegedly used to store synthetic drugs, the federal government’s security cabinet reported yesterday.
In a statement, he detailed that the home seized is located on Laguna de los Hornos Street, in the Vistas del Lago subdivision, and was identified based on investigation and intelligence work that allowed obtaining indications about its possible use by a criminal network.
Based on the data collected, a control judge granted the court order to search the home. During the operation, several illicit substances were located, which were seized and placed at the disposal of the Federal Public Ministry, in charge of continuing the investigations. The property was sealed and under the protection of the authorities.
According to the cabinet itself, the seizure prevented thousands of doses of methamphetamine from circulating in the country, in addition to generating an economic blow to organizations dedicated to drug trafficking, although it did not specify figures.
The Criminal Investigation Agency of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) participated in the operation, as well as personnel from the Secretariats of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), National Defense and Navy, as well as the National Guard.
