The Women’s Secretariat reported that, through the Comprehensive Care Program for the Well-being of Women (Paibim), launched on May 1 of this year, until December 22, 864 thousand services were provided to 377 thousand 124 Mexican women in the 32 entities of the country.
These services have been provided in the 678 LIBRE Centers (Freedom, Equality, Wellbeing, Community Networks and Emancipation for Women), as well as through its mobile units and the National Network of Women’s Lawyers.
“This effort responds to the instruction of President Claudia Sheinbaum to put into practice the constitutional reforms that she presented in October 2024 and that elevated substantive equality to the highest level,” the agency stated.
To materialize this commitment, the Women’s Secretariat, headed by Citlalli Hernández Mora, has deployed Paibim, which reflects a strategy based on the care of women in the territory and on litigation with a gender perspective.
The operation of Paibim prioritizes the municipalities with the highest incidence of violence, ensuring that support reaches directly those who need it most.
