Federal District: 1st installment and single share of IPTU expire today

The IPTU can be paid in up to six installments and the discount for payment of the single installment went from 5% to 10% in relation to 2021. The installments cannot be less than R$ 20 and, if the sum of the IPTU value with the of TLP is less than R$ 40, the payment must be made in a single installment.

The tax rate is 0.30% for built-up residential properties; 1% for built non-residential property and for residential property with a construction permit; and 3% for land without buildings or with buildings under construction or demolition, condemned or in ruins.

According to information from the Economy Department of the Federal District Government, the IPTU must be paid by 554,965 taxpayers and the TLP by 556,175. The slips were sent by the Post Office, but those who are entitled to a discount from the Legal Note must issue the document for payment over the internet on the website Receita.fazenda.df.gov.br

Taxpayers who have debts with the Federal District Government may seek the DF revenue or the service agencies to settle the outstanding issues.

Collection

The secretariat estimates that more than R$ 222 million will be collected with the first installment of the IPTU and about R$ 37 million with the cleaning fee. In 2021, BRL 132,690,115.81 were collected with the first installment of the IPTU and BRL 26,405,888.88 with the TLP.
