Federal and state support to help in train derailment: Claudia Sheinbaum

The President Claudia Sheinbaum reported this Sunday that in the efforts to help those affected by the derailment of the main train engine a train from the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepecnear Nizanda, Oaxaca, on Line Z, the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT), IMSS-Wellbeing and the State Government participate.

Investigation tasks into the incident will be carried out by the Railway Transport Regulatory Agency (ARTF), as it is one of its faculties.

On the train, operated by the Secretary of the Navy (Semar)nine crew members and 241 passengers were traveling aboard two locomotives and four passenger cars.

“From the first moment, immediate attention is provided to users and coordination is maintained with local authorities to attend to the event, as well as to collect the corresponding technical and operational information,” Semar explained in its X account shortly after 11:00 a.m.

Later, the President wrote on the same social network: We are attentive to the work of the Secretary of the Navy to support users of the Interoceanic Corridor. SICT, IMSS-Bienestar and the state government participate. As we have more data we will expand the information.

The Secretary of the Navy It also committed to keeping the population informed with responsibility and transparency once it has confirmed and complete data.
