In an interview with Union Radio, the highest representative of Fedecámaras pointed out on Monday, January 23, that they still do not have the capacity to increase the salary. He indicated that next Monday, January 30, at the meeting of the Social Dialogue Forum with the International Labor Organization (ILO), is the right time to finish defining the consultation and process all the necessary data to start with the measure.

“In the conversation that figure of $50 came up, it was a suggestion,” he explained, in response to the wave of rumors that arose in recent days and in which it was asserted that Fedecámaras estimated an increase of $50.
He warned that the current reality makes a universal solution very difficult and it is convenient to look for different types of solutions. “It is not about how much the salary increases, but how to sustain purchasing power over time. The decision is not that simple, ”she emphasized.
During the interview, Fernández made reference to the need for political forces to resume negotiations in Mexico. He called it important that these processes continue and deepen to achieve even more benefits for citizens than those achieved in 2022.
He indicated that the agreements reached by Mexico in the last round of negotiations bring tangible solutions for the people. “Mr Blyde’s statement shows that there is a will to continue,” he added.
Fedecámaras on bank credits
When asked about the feasibility of allowing credits on 30% of the currencies held by the banks, he considered that it is important, and that he expects it to increase as the days go by.

The president of Fedecámaras explained that the vice presidency has held meetings in Aruba to discuss the restart of activities on this island and Curacao. He assured that, if these connections are resumed, the states of Falcón and Carabobo will be the areas with the greatest benefits because they are where the most exchange occurs.
“It is very positive to reinsert ourselves in international markets, we must insist on opening all spaces of economic activity to private participation,” he said.
The president of Fedecámaras explained that productive activity should be filled with stimuli and give priority to the generation of wealth rather than to controlling it.
He also stressed that the State must generate more confidence to achieve private investment in the country.
