FEDA will grant amnesty to producer cooperative associations

FEDA otorgará amnistía a asociaciones cooperativas productores

The Credit Council of the Special Fund for Agricultural Development (FEDA) is preparing to grant a general interest amnesty for all financing granted to cooperative associations and agricultural projects, as a way to alleviate the crisis caused by Covid-19 and the war between Russia and Ukrainein order to promote agricultural production benefiting thousands of agricultural producers.

The amnesty was announced by Hecmilio Galvan Cruzexecutive director of the FEDA, who affirmed that this initiative fulfills the wishes of President Luis Abinader to take a burden off small producers at the national level who, in turn, by paying off their debts, become subject to credits from the FEDA itself and other financial entities and thus more jobs and food can be created for the country.
