The Special Fund for Agricultural Development (FEDA), headed by economist Hecmilio Galván, began today the Great Meeting of the Agricultural Project of Tomorrow-DR undertakes, within the framework of the 2023 Agricultural Fair, organized by the agricultural authorities.
Galván said that the project has the firm support of the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader Corona.
“We have started this project because the studies of the National Statistics Office reveal that the Dominican population is young, with ages between 0 and 34 years, since it occupies more than half of the Dominican population, it is young. We are the majority, young Dominicans are empowering ourselves,” said Hecmilio Galván.
He stated that young people need support and that the Special Fund for Agricultural Development is providing it with the support of President Luis Abinader, which is part of the change.

The executive director of the feda He said that the mission of the program is to ensure the future for agriculture and entrepreneurship through Dominican youth.
“The main idea will be to donate small amounts of seeds (spices) so that young people can start raising goats, sheep, and rabbits, and little by little they will become true producers,” the official said.
He said that the goal is to create three thousand young leaders in groups of one hundred, of both sexes, by municipal districts and municipalities for the purpose of organizing themselves in groups.
“Little by little we will achieve it to help 300,000 young people benefited,” stressed the director of FEDA.
Hecmilio Galván said that with the Agricultural Project of Tomorrow-RD Emprende, young people will also receive microcredit, technical advice, technical-vocational training and scholarships.
