The Special Fund for Agricultural Development (feda) opened the grain processing plant or sheller of the Corn Producers Cooperative La Ceiba, by Pedro Corto, in San Juan de la Maguana.
The corn shelling plant will benefit small farmers who live in communities of San Juan, it will create direct and indirect jobs. This plant was completed with the support of the Government of Luis Abinader through the feda with a investment of seven million pesosHecmilio Galván, director of the special fund, indicated in a statement.
“This achievement is the result of solidarity support of the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, through the feda as part of the commitment to the producers of the field”, indicated Galván.
The act began with the words of Benito Bidó, president of the Producers’ Cooperative, who framed the inauguration of the processing plant, within the great achievements Y contributions of feda in Saint John of the Maguana.
Galván said that the delivery of this plant, to the Producers Cooperative of Maíz de la Ceiba, is already a reality and that the community will achieve its development through the provision of raw material for the preparation of balanced meals to farmers in the southern region and the country.
He assured that the Government, through the fedaworks tirelessly to bring solutions to all producers agricultural of the country, in order to bring wealth and development to the different communities. “An example of this is the La Ceiba Corn Producers Cooperative“.
While Benito Bidó, president of the Cooperative, framed the opening of the grain processing plant, within the large achievements Y contributions of feda in San Juan de la Maguana for the benefit of medium and small producers.
