Officials, governors and leaders of the Front of All (FdT) highlighted this Thursday the incorporation into the national cabinet of the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Massa, who will be in charge of the unified Ministry of Economy, Productive Development and Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheriesand noted that designation “It will add management experience, a vocation for dialogue and political capacity” for “complex moments like the current one.”

The leaders of the Renovador Front had analyzed the reorganization of the cabinet throughout the day and valued the possibility of Massa joining as part of the team chaired by Alberto Fernández.

“Massa’s incorporation into the Cabinet strengthens the Government and the bond that unites the FdT with the concerns of Argentine men and women. The country needs everyone’s responsibility and commitment,” stressed Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero.

For his part, the Buenos Aires chief of staff, Martín Insaurralde, stated that Massa “will add management experience, a vocation for dialogue and political capacity, necessary values in complex times like the present, in which we need to redirect national reconstruction.”

“I want to wish Massa the best of success in carrying out this new responsibility. At this time, the country requires everyone’s efforts. The work and unity of our force will be the keys to bringing peace of mind to every home in Argentina”, expressed from his networks the senator of the FdT Pablo Yedlin.

The governor of Santa Fe, Omar Perotti, had considered it “fundamental” that “in these complex times we all join forces to overcome this situation”, for which, before the appointment was known, he had warned that Massa “would strengthen management, adding experience and ability.

A government source, in close contact with the Head of State, had confided to Télam this morning that “one should not ask who Massa is, but rather what his arrival means.”

“I see Sergio well, he’s a guy with a back, you throw him on the field and he knows how to play from minute 0,” said this member of the national cabinet.

The Security Minister, Aníbal Fernández, stated that “governments in many parts of the world have that vision of oxygenating their own efforts with men and women who join in from time to time.”

“Those who arrive come with another impetus, with a vocation. That does not mean that the one who is leaving is not doing it, but perhaps it is necessary because it motivates and generates expectations,” said the head of the Security portfolio.

Leandro Santoro, deputy of the FdT and close to the President, had deemed necessary a “restructuring in the national cabinet” to give “more efficiency and effectiveness to the Government”. After Massa’s appointment to the unified portfolio of Economy, the deputy expressed on Radio 10 that “this redesign of the government implies an agreement in the leadership of the FdT, it will be read as a sign of stability.”

The versions that Massa would join the government cast also generated a series of public adhesions through social networks, pushed especially by leaders of the Renovating Front and by some governors grouped in the self-styled League of Governors.

Meanwhile, the Peronist governors supported, with nuances, the arrival of the former mayor of Tigre.

“Capacity” was the common expression used by two provincial leaders who knew how to be very close to Massa: Gustavo Sáenz from Salta and Mariano Arcioni from Chubut, to describe the current head of Deputies.

From the influential province of Buenos Aires, the support came from the Minister of Government, Cristina Álvarez Rodríguez, and the Minister of Infrastructure, the former mayor of Malvinas Argentinas Leonardo Nardini.

“We bank everything that is for the good, change is necessary,” the official and first vice president of the National PJ had stated, while the former Malvinas Argentinas community chief had considered that “it would be very good if the national cabinet had the experience and Massa’s ability.

For her part, the advisor to the Chief of Staff and a reference for Igualar-Frente de Todos, Carmela Moreau, had posted on her networks a photo in which the President and Vice President Cristina Fernández can be seen together with Massa, and which she accompanied with a message: “The second half begins. Let’s bring the best of the Frente de Todos to the field.”

Along the same lines, the deputies of the Buenos Aires province of the Renovating Front had asked for a “replacement in the cabinet” and stressed that Massa “has the attributes to improve the quality of life” of Argentines.

“We consider that a replacement in the cabinet of the national government is extremely necessary to strengthen management and add experience and political capacity,” defined a document signed by the vice president of the Buenos Aires Chamber of Deputies, Rubén Eslaiman, and the vice president of the bloc of the FdT, Nicholas Russo.
