President Luis Abinader and the first lady, Rachel Arbaje, spearheaded the delivery of the CABEI-SOLIDARIOS Awards to Microenterprise 2021, an event in which the Dominican Development Foundation (FDD), stood out as the entity microfinance with the largest number of award-winning clients.
From a total of 181 nominations made by 17 institutions in the sector, located in five countries in the Latin American region, the Jury Committee for these awards selected 18 winners in different categories, among which 6 microentrepreneurs from the FDD stand out.
Amelia Reyes Mora, president of the Dominican Development Foundation Together with the executive director, Mariano Frontera, they accompanied the winners during the award ceremony held in the Las Cariátides Hall of the National Palace.

The awards CABEI-SOLIDARIOS, organized by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) and Solidarios, Council of American Development Foundations, carry out a rigorous evaluation process to choose the winners, with which they seek to highlight the impact of entrepreneurship and microfinance on the financial inclusion of vulnerable people and on economic dynamics. of the countries of the Latin American region.
