They are the first indicators that the city of Arequipa runs out of fuel, as the hours go by. The tank trucks are stranded in the sector known as the Distribution of the South Pan-American Highway, La Joya district.
To show a button. On the 10th block of Kennedy Avenue in the Paucarpata district two faucets depleted their reserves of 90 and 95 octane gasoline. Meanwhile, the diesel will suffer the same fate.
“I go from tap to tap and I can’t find fuel. We live from the taxi service and now what food am I going to take home? If the government doesn’t solve the problem, people are going to take to the streets to protest,” said taxi driver Antonio Velarde.
