The four-month-old baby with the initials SNV, who was reported missing on the afternoon of this Tuesday, December 17, was found a few hours later, as announced by the National Police, who now suspect the child’s parents.
The baby was kidnapped at the Manuel de Jesús Rivera hospital, La Mascota, in Managua, where she was taken by her 17-year-old mother, with alleged deception. According to the maternal grandmother, the teenage mother received a phone call informing her about a prize awarded to the newborn, but to claim it she had to take the girl for a routine consultation at said pediatric center.
A woman dressed as a nurse came out to meet the teenager and asked the girl to take her for a medical check-up. When she was delayed, the young woman sought an answer about the girl’s whereabouts; However, no one recognized said worker, so the search for the minor was activated.

The father of the newborn was identified as Evenor Serrado, 20 years old. The young man was detained by the Police and the young mother named Ventura is under investigation, according to neighbors of the couple who had recently separated.
A source close to the family indicated that the young woman received, after the kidnapping, a text message in which she said: “We are taking the girl (the baby) away from you because with the father she will be better cared for,” so at the time It seems that the kidnapper maintains a bond with the girl’s father.
After the girl’s appearance, the National Police issued a statement announcing that the investigation will be expanded and more details of the case will be provided.
