Santo Domingo.- Marino Antonio Muñoz Concepción, father of the deceased pastor Elisa Muñoz Marte, bought high-caliber weapons to eliminate the police officers who took the lives of his daughter and son-in-law on March 2.
According to the investigation by the Public Ministry, Muñoz Concepción acquired a AM-15 rifleblack color, caliber 5.56 MM Multi Cal, series 20169667 and a XD-9 brand pistol, black color, 9 MM caliber, series D211756, together with two magazines and several 9 MM caliber capsules.
The firearms were shipped from Pennsylvania under the name of “Andrea” to be received in the country by Ronny Muñoz.
It is remembered that Elisa Muñoz Marte and her husband Joel Eusebio Díaz Ferrer, 32 and 35 years of age, respectively, were killed on the night of March 30, 2021, after they were intercepted by a National Police patrol that fired shots at the vehicle in which they were traveling when they were returning to Santo Domingo after participating in a religious cult in Villa Altagracia.
In the event in which the couple died, Claudio Ramírez Lamais, 29, was also injured. The three were traveling in a white Kia car, model K5, along with Carlos José Pérez Báez, who was unharmed.

Those prosecuted for the fact are serving pretrial detention in different jurisdictions of the country and on March 2 they will be heard.
Request for coercion postponed
The Public Ministry requested a court to impose preventive detention, as a measure of coercion, against Marino Antonio Muñoz Concepción and/or Ronny Muñoz, who is facing charges of international arms trafficking.
Judge Kelvys Henríquez, from the Santo Domingo Oeste Permanent Attention Services Judicial Office, postponed hearing the request for coercion until next Wednesday, February 15, starting at 12:00 noon, after hosting this Saturday a request from the defendant’s defense, who asked for more time to prepare his means of defense.
