Father and son, of Nicaraguan origin, die in a traffic accident in the United States

The Nicaraguan migrants identified as Clifford Walter Mairena Leiva and his son Bryan Josué Mairena Alemán died on October 30 in a traffic accident in the United States, reported the organization Texas Nicaraguan Community (TNC).

Clifford and Bryan are originally from Ciudad Sandino, Managua, and suffered the accident after leaving a work meeting in Tampas, Florida, United States.

The family of the pinoleros told TNC that they “had arranged to meet Bryan’s wife in Arcadia and never arrived.”

«The next day, October 30, they received the news that they had the accident. The car caught fire, their bodies were burned after being trapped in the flames,” TNC explained.

Collection to repatriate ashes

A third person also died in the traffic accident, whose identity the TNC did not indicate, although it specified that it was the boss of both Nicaraguans, who was the one driving the car.

The family of Clifford Walter Mairena Leiva and Bryan Josué Mairena Alemán, according to TNC, are promoting a collection to repatriate the ashes of both Nicaraguans to give them a Christian burial in Ciudad Sandino.

Claudia Mairena, through the Go Fund Me platform, indicated that her father and brother, Clifford and Bryan, respectively, died in a “car accident after a work meeting where they unfortunately lost their lives” and “we do not have the resources for funeral expenses.
