Within the framework of the International Day of Suicide Prevention, in New Palmira City, an instance of reflection and awareness in the thirty -three square was held on Wednesday 10.
The activity open to the entire public was organized by Councilor Andrés Fassi (FA).
Psychologist Eugenia Vázquez was in charge of the talk; He addressed the theme of suicide prevention in front of a group of neighbors and members of different local institutions.

Fassi said that in his daily contact with the community he perceives serious family and work difficulties that impact the welfare of the population.

In that sense, the work that the director of the local hospital, Susana Hellbusch, who reported on the efforts to consolidate a team that can strengthen the approach in mental health, an area where “we are indebted”, recognized the councilman, said.
Problematic substance consumption
Fassi reported that a few days ago he held a meeting with the National Director of INAU, Andrea Venosa, who raised the need to visit Nueva Palmira. The hierarchy responded affirmatively and also work together with the Ministry of Interior on another of the problems that concerns the community: the consumption of problematic substances. “We cannot remain omitted to this reality. We have to work and generate answers,” he said.
