The National Commission of Agricultural Credit, chaired by the Minister of Agriculture, Cecilia López Montaño, reoriented the line of public policy on issues of agricultural financing and established that small producers will be prioritized in credit operations.

In the extraordinary session it was set for 2023 a credit placement goal for the sector for 20 billion pesoswhich will be executed by Finagro.
92% of the operations will be for small producers and low-income small producers.
High-impact adjustments for the agricultural and rural sector were unanimously approved. A clear and forceful guideline was drawn up in the prioritization of the financing policy towards small producers and the strengthening of development credit favoring the production link of the agricultural sector.

The Agricultural Guarantee Fund It will support the financial inclusion of new producers, offering greater coverage for their credits. In compliance with the Peace Agreement, special coverage was approved for the displaced population, victims, reinserted, reincorporated, demobilized and linked to the Comprehensive National Plan for Crop Substitution.
Which will allocate $4.8 billion to promote access to credit for all agricultural producers that will allow irrigating credit resources to the sector for $6.3 trillion.
Regarding the incentives offered by the Government, nine Special Credit Lines with subsidized interest rates were approved in order to promote internationalization, the productive economy for life and climate action, as well as human security and social justice.

With these benefits, small and medium producers will be able to finance their working capital and investment activities under favorable conditions.
Within the incentives approved by the Commission, priority was given to associative and integration schemes, as established by the National Development Plan in horizontal and vertical integration schemes.
In line with the new proposal of the PND 2022-2026, new beneficiaries of financial products were created: indigenous communities, ethnic peoples, people with disabilities, the LGBTIQ + population, peasants and the elderly promoting social inclusion.
