The mayor of the Guaicaipuro municipality, of the Miranda state, Farith Fraija Norwoodassured that the far-right agent, Maria Corina Machadois far from being a global symbol to be associated with issues related to peace. “It has an intention to look for ways to intervene in the internal affairs of our country and how to destabilize the Venezuelan political system through international pressure,” he stressed.
“The Nobel Peace Prize was to be awarded, in the past, to those who sought agreements to reduce the participation of the Armies in times of world conflicts,” said Fraija during his participation in the program. Pulse, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
He pointed out that the actions of the far-right are contrary to the actions recognized by this award, and stated that the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to María Corina Machado is, perhaps, one of the most questioned in history.
He warned that the Norwegian Nobel Committee made a “regrettable” decision by awarding the prize to María Corina Machado because, in its opinion, “It was very clear that this was very far from being a celebration” in Norway.
