FAO Representative: DR Zero Hunger goal can be met

The representative in the Dominican Republic of the Organization of the Nations United Nations for Food and Agriculture (FAO), Rodrigo Castañeda, described as achievable the presidential goal of eradicating hunger either hunger zero in the country, projected to be achieved in 2028.

Agriculture technicians trained

Castañeda offered these statements during the closing of the first stage of training over 50 technicians extension agents of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Dominican Coffee Institute (Indocafe) in areas such as Sustainable Soil Management, Good Soil and Water Conservation Practices, and Resilient Farm Planning.

For his part, the minister of AgricultureLimber Cruz, expressed his confidence in reaching this goal ahead of schedule. “I have faith that we are going to eradicate he hunger before 2028,” he assured.
