Fantino, Sánchez Ramírez – with deep pain and dismay, family, friends and neighbors fired Sunday afternoon to Jensel and Keyla Acevedo brothers, 13 and 15, who died drowned on Saturday at the Hatillo dam.
The funeral and wake were carried out at the municipal funeral home, where the parents of the victims, José Acevedo Jerez and Carmen Acosta, received the signs of solidarity of the community. The funeral march, preceded by an act of prayer held by residents of the Rincón Moreno neighborhood, left for the municipal cemetery, where the burial was officiated.
The teenagers, outstanding students of the local school, had attended Saturday afternoon to the community of Hernando Alonso in the company of other young people to share with family; What began as a meeting ended in tragedy when Jensel and Keyla disappeared in the waters of the reservoir. Civil Defense brigades and volunteers from the Fantino Fire Department participated in the search and rescue work.
