Fanb seizes more than 5,000 liters of fuel in Zulia

The Operational Strategic Commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb), GJ Domingo Antonio Hernández Lárez, reported on his official Twitter account that “within the framework of the Operations Order “Lightning of Catatumbo 2023”, during patrol work, reconnaissance and scrutiny on the banks of the Santa Ana river, Bartolomé de las Casas parish, Machiques de Perijá municipality in Zulia state, #FANB detected a logistical fuel supply point for Colombian Armed Terrorist Drug Traffickers,” he published.

Likewise, the General in Chief explained that the points were located “at the geographical coordinates (09°35’48.4″ N – 72°08’17.7” W), where twenty-seven “pipe”-type plastic containers with a storage capacity of 220 liters each, containing five thousand nine hundred and forty (5,940) liters of Jet-A1 type fuel for aircraft and five (05) meters of hose for fuel transfer…”

It is important to point out that the Fanb, through the Territorial Defensive System, executes in the national geographic space actions to search, locate and destroy illegal structures, belonging to criminal groups that intend to use Venezuelan soil for illegal activities, in accordance with the instructions issued by the CJ of the Fanb and constitutional president Nicolás Maduro Moros.
