Cash of the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) seized three helicopter fuselages, one plane and 3,000 liters of aircraft fuel in the Guayana region, reported the head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez.
Through a message on his account on the social network Twitter, Hernández Lárez explained that these structures and liters of fuel seized are used by irregular groups for “the traffic of mining illegal and strategic materials.
“In the Guayana region, the FANB seizes 3 helicopter fuselages, one airplane and 3,000 liters of airplane fuel, used for trafficking illegal mining and strategic materials,” the publication indicates.
Given the findings of the FANB in the Guayana region, the head of Ceofanb reiterated that the members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces will intervene in any illegal act or procedure that threatens the population and sovereignty of the country.
“The FANB will legally intervene against all criminals who, with weapons of war, subjugate the population and arbitrarily destroy environmental ecosystems, constituting a threat against sovereignty, territorial integrity, and Human and Environmental Rights,” he emphasized.
FANB detains six subjects in Guayana
As part of the operations carried out in the Guayana region, the FANB arrested six citizens “with weapons, associated with criminal gangs of illegal mining trafficking.”
Likewise, he pointed out that in the procedure a helicopter was seized, without any type of registration or legal permission to operate, used for criminal purposes.
“In the REDI Guayana FANB detains 6 subjects with weapons, associated with criminal gangs of illegal mining trafficking and seizes a helicopter used in the logistics structure, without any type of registration or legal permit and identification to operate,” Hernández Láreaz said in Twitter.
In this sense, Hernández Lárez guaranteed the deployment of the FANB throughout the national territory to defend the country’s sovereignty and protect the natural resources of Venezuelan Guayana and the Amazon.
“FANB deployed in the Roraima and Autana operations, in defense of the Venezuelan Guayana and the Amazon, against forest predators and illegal mining,” he stressed.
