staff of the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) arrested a citizen with 12 bundles of marijuana, and two citizens with four panels of cocaine wrapped in cheese, in the tachira statereported the head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez.
In various messages posted on his account on the social network Twitter, Hernández Lárez explained that the drug was hidden inside cheese units with which he intended to deceive the authorities.
«In the state of Táchira, FANB detains a citizen for drug trafficking and seizes 12 packages of marijuana hidden inside the cheeses with which he intended to deceive the authorities. Venezuela in the fight against drug trafficking! », She specified on Twitter.
It also reported the arrest of two other detainees after trying to deceive the authorities with the same procedure of hiding the drug, four panelas of cocaine, inside cheese units.
“Two citizens were arrested who tried to deceive the authorities with four panels of cocaine hidden inside some cheeses. Two more unsuspecting individuals captured by the Tancol groups (called Colombian Armed Terrorists Drug Traffickers) trying to get their products out through the national territory,” said the Chief of Ceofanb on Twitter.
FANB active against drug trafficking
The FANB remains deployed on all the country’s borders, to combat any action by irregular groups that intend to use the country as a transit for drug trafficking.
These actions are carried out under the instruction of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, who ordered the declaration of 2022 as the year free of the drug trafficking groups called Tancol.
