This Saturday members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) rescued near Los Roques a boat with eight crew members that had been stranded due to a fire.
This was reported by the head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb) Domingo Hernández Lárez through his account on the social network Twitter.
Hernández Lárez specified that the boat was stranded in waters near the Los Roques National Park, a Venezuelan archipelago located in the Caribbean Sea.
Likewise, it reported that the fire that affected the vessel occurred in the engine room.
«FANB in compliance with the Safe Carnivals 2023 operations order rescue and save in porta boat with 8 crew members in the vicinity of Los Roques, which was stranded due to a fire in the engine room,” published Hernández Lárez.
In images released by Domingo Hernández Lárez along with the previous message, FANB officials are seen arriving in rescue boats.
In addition, the head of Ceofanb stressed that the rescue was carried out as part of the operations arranged in the Safe Carnivals 2023 device.
