In a gesture of profound institutional cohesion, the sectoral vice president of Defense and Sovereignty, Vladimir Padrino López ratified the recognition of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces to the acting president Delcy Rodríguez as its commander in chief.
The Minister for Defense also reported that this Wednesday an act full of symbolism will be held to formalize the command of the person who assumes the leadership of the country at a determining moment in its republican history.
Under the slogan “The Homeland Continues”, he announced that the president will receive the insignia that accredit her as the highest military authority of the military components.
During his message, Padrino López appealed to unity and coherence as fundamental pillars to defend independence.
He assured that despite the attacks suffered since January 3 and the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro, the peace of the nation remains guaranteed thanks to the commitment of the men and women in uniform.
Institutional support is based on the Constitution and recent decisions of the Supreme Court of Justice.
With this act, the Fanb not only recognizes the legitimacy of the acting president Delcy Rodríguez Gómez, but also offers itself as unconditional support to walk the paths of reconciliation and democracy.
Padrino López made it clear that the country’s march towards its noble destiny of freedom continues unstoppable under a direction that prioritizes, above all, the stability and well-being of Venezuelans.
“President (E) Delcy Rodríguez has legitimacy of origin and performance and the unconditional support of the Armed Forces to defend our homeland, preserve peace and consolidate the paths of reconciliation and democracy that our people deserve,” he highlighted.
