Fanb neutralizes aircraft used for drug trafficking in Apure

The Strategic Operational Commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Ceofanb), G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, reported that an aircraft used for drug trafficking in the state of Apure was located and neutralized, as part of Operation Bolivarian Shield 2025 and in defense of national sovereignty.

Through his official Instagram account, Hernández Lárez detailed that the aircraft was located overflight, at low altitude, illegally, without issuing the corresponding identification.

In this sense, it indicated that, by not presenting a flight plan and not establishing communication with the Air Traffic services units, it was declared a target of interest, after it was assumed that it was being used for cross-border crimes of drug trafficking, arms trafficking or other crimes.

Subsequently, in the Pedro Camejo municipality of Apure state it was intercepted; It can be seen that it is a twin-engine aircraft, white in color and without registration.

Until now, there are 418 aircraft that have been disabled since the enactment of the Control Law for the Comprehensive Defense of Airspace and number 27 of this year 2025.

Finally, Hernández Lárez highlighted that “Venezuela is a land of peace, law and justice, our territory will not be used as a platform for drug trafficking.”
