Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) located a plane belonging to the Armed Terrorist Narcotrafficking groups of Colombia (Tancol), in the state of Amazonas.
The information was released by the Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez, through his Twitter account, in which he explained that the plane it was located “in a gallery forest, adjacent to a clandestine landing strip.”
The Head of Ceofanb also indicated that the FANB remains deployed in the state of Amazonas in order to locate and disable runways and structures of irregular groups.
«Deployment of the FANB in the state Amazon in the disablement of clandestine tracks and destruction of logistics structures associated with drug trafficking,” he said.
He recalled that these actions of the FANB military personnel are framed in the Operation “Bolivarian Shield 2022”, with which the Armed Forces remain deployed throughout the territory, “guaranteeing independence and national sovereignty,” he added.
Booby trap deactivated by the FANB
This Sunday, August 7, members of the FANB located and deactivated an improvised explosive trap belonging to the Tancols in the municipality of Páez.
“On the road to the Páez municipality, the FANB locates and deactivates the TANCOL improvised explosive trap with gas cylinders such as containers and plastic containers filled with aluminized gunpowder, shrapnel, detonators and cables, to control corridors through terror!” he pointed out.
Hernández Lárez emphasized that the FANB “continues to be deployed, recovering spaces with personnel from sappers trained in deactivation and anti-explosive sweeping, to guarantee the security of the routes on the cross-border axis, where groups of TANCOL invaders planted explosive devices.”
It should be remembered that the actions carried out by the FANB in the country’s cross-border axis are aimed at completely dismantling the Tancol groups, under the premise and order issued by the National Executive, who urged the military to declare 2022 as the year 100% free of the Tancol throughout the country.
