FANB has disabled more than 120 combustion engines in the Amazon

The Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB), during the year 2023, has disabled more than 120 combustion engines used in the predation of the environment of the Venezuelan Amazon, informed the head of the Strategic Operational Command of the FANB (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez.

Through his account on the social network Twitter, Hernández Lárez explained that ecocides have been committed by criminal groups that disrespect territorial ordering.

“During the year 2023, in the forest reserves of the Venezuelan Amazon, Fanb has disabled more than 120 combustion engines used in the depredation of the environment by criminal groups that disrespect territorial ordering,” he posted on his Twitter account.

In this sense, the Chief of the Ceofanb stressed that the FANB remains deployed in the national parks of Canaima, Caura and Yapacana, with the objective of protecting natural environments and combating the mining illegal.

Operation Catatumbo

As part of the actions against illegal mining, the FANB executes the Catatumbo Lightning Operation 2023, with which it dismantles camps used by irregular groups for illegal activities.

“In Operation Catatumbo Lightning 2023, #FANB dismantles logistics camp on the border of the Semprún municipality, used by irregular groups for illegal activities in the national geographic space. Venezuela is a territory of peace”, the Chief of Ceofanb said on Twitter.

FANB guarantor of the defense of the nation

Given the actions of the FANB, the head of the Ceofanb, Domingo Hernández Lárez, praised the work of the troops who continue to patrol the states of the country, to guarantee the sovereignty and defense of the country.

Domingo Hernández Lárez has reiterated that the FANB will continue to defend the environment and the preservation of the country’s natural resources.

Likewise, Hernández Lárez has reiterated that the members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces will continue deployed in the different states of the national territory, in the fight against drug trafficking groups Tancol; gangs dedicated to illegal mining, extortion, and illegal takeovers of strategic facilities.

“The national soil is not negotiated, all the armed terrorist groups that try to use our border territory as a hideout will be expelled,” he emphasized.
