FANB dismantles raft used for illegal mining in Bolívar

In Bolívar state, members of the National Armed Forces (FANB) dismantled a raft of mining industrial, used by criminal groups in illegal activities that cause damage to the ecosystem. This was reported by the head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez.

Through his account on the social network Twitter, Hernández Lárez explained that the seized raft had all the logistical elements: “engine, hoses, fuel, plant”, instruments that were used to contaminate “water resources and the environment”.

“In Bolívar, FANB dismantles industrial mining raft with its logistical elements (engine, hoses, fuel, plant) used by criminal groups, who arbitrarily disrespect Venezuelan regulations and unscrupulously contaminate water resources and the environment”, published the Chief of Ceofanb.

FANB active against illegal mining

The Chief of Ceofanb also reported the deployment of military troops in the Caura National Park, between the states of Bolívar and Amazonas, dismantling illegal mining camps.

“#FANB deployed in the Caura National Park, dismantling illegal mining camps that predator nature and disrespect the law,” he said on the social network.

“The glorious #FANB deployed throughout our Republic, guaranteeing the security and integrity of the Homeland, Bolivarian and Chavista forever,” confirmed Hernández Lárez.

Operations Autana and Roraima

Given the illegal mining practices, since the beginning of this year 2023, the Venezuelan military forces have carried out operations called Autana and Roraima, aimed at confronting illegal activities that violate protected environmental zones in the south and southeast of the country.
