FANB dismantles illegal mining structures in Parque Canaima

This was reported by the head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez.

In a message posted on his account on the social network Twitter, he specified that the FANB remains deployed to protect forests, reserves and national parks.

«FANB deployed in the National park Canaima, dismantling illegal mining structures that operate arbitrarily in protected areas of the State. The Security and Defense of the Nation is everyone’s task. The Forests, Reserves and National Parks must be respected”, published Hernández Lárez.

In defense of the ecosystem

In another message, the Chief of the Ceofanb reiterates that the FANB remains vigilant, disabling illegal mining camps. that with open-air machinery, destroy the ecosystem.

“#FANB deployed in the Canaima National Park, deactivating illegal mining camps, who arbitrarily set up machinery in the open sky, destroying the ecosystem protected by the State,” he said.

The actions of the FANB in ​​Bolívar state are carried out in compliance with the orders of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, who urged the elimination of all irregular structures and groups from the country that intend to threaten the country’s sovereignty.

«FANB in ​​compliance with the orders of our Cmdte. En Jefe @NicolasMaduro remains deployed in the Edo Bolívar in the disabling of clandestine tracks and dismantling of illegal mining camps that arbitrarily and illegally operate in the Canaima National Park”, recalled Hernández Lárez.

In addition, the Commander of the Ceofanb stressed that “Venezuela is a territory of peace. All illegal structures dedicated to drug trafficking, arms and explosives trafficking, illegal mining, and human trafficking belonging to armed criminal groups that generate violence will be dismantled.”

Fight against drug trafficking

On the other hand, the FANB remains active in the arrest of citizens who intend to bring drugs into the country.

In this sense, this Sunday a citizen was arrested, linked to the group of Armed Terrorists Drug Traffickers of Colombia (Tancol), for trying to transfer more than a kilogram of cocaine to the national territory from Zulia.

«Another naive citizen working for the TANCOL groups who use and discard the innocent. Arrested for a drug trafficker trying to cross the national territory from Zulia state with more than 1 kg of cocaine,” Hernández Lárez said on Twitter.

FANB active against drug trafficking

Faced with these operations against drug trafficking, the Chief of the Ceofanb reiterated that the FANB will continue with security and defense work throughout the national territory, “providing peace and calm to our population against organized crime.”

These military actions respond to the instruction given by President Nicolás Maduro, who declared the year 2022 a free year for the Tancols. On that occasion, he ordered the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) to free all the border areas of the country from these gangs.
